AGAINSt a strong opponent in Gormandale, who came out firing, it took the girls a little while to find their feet and we needed to adjust our combos on the court to make it work.
It was a combined effort in all sections of the court with many of the girls having a run in all three sectors.
Defensively we had some unreal intercepts and rebounds, however it was tricky to get it down our end and convert on the score board.
The girls were nice and vocal on the court and very encouraging of one another.
Stand outs this week were Scarlett and Lucy who always seemed to position themselves perfectly for the loose balls, along with Charlotte who defensively really left and impression.
As always the girls kept fighting until the final siren and continue to show incredible resilience and growth.

DESPITE the warm weather, we were determined to come out strong against Gormandale. Although we didn’t get the start we hoped for, the girls showed some great resilience and passages of play! Addy continued to shoot under pressure and didn’t let it impact her performance. Her second half showed great persistence to back herself, and supported her teammates well. Alongside her, Lilly was a standout in her leadership, and ability to lead the attacking end, through her communication and composure under pressure. This game highlighted our growth and will help us going into next week!
Awards- Addy Matthews and Lilly Rose Hunter.

WHO said netball was a winter sport? We went onto the court feeling confident and started off really strong remembering some of our game plans from training. The hot and sunny conditions were making us work hard. There was Some great defensive play by Mesha in the goals. Britt ran hard and stuck with her opponent putting pressure on the Gormandale attacking end and Mel had a crack at GD and was moving well.
Overall the whole team worked hard and continue to improve with their game and being confident within themselves and their teammates. We’ll continue to iron out our whole game system and will continue to improve!
Awards:
Kirsty Sheedy: Started off as GK and was changed to GS. Stood strong against physical opposition and move well in and around the ring.
Mariah Armstrong: Had a solid run in C in quite hot conditions and created at least 4 intercept turnovers.

IT was great to welcome Jade and Mollie into the mix. There was some nice transition down court.
Unfortunately it was incredibly difficult to deliver the ball into the shooters.
Awards to Mollie and Evie

A great result for the girls! There was some terrific team work which resulted in some great turnovers. Rachel and India rewarded the defensive work with some very accurate goaling and rebounding when required. Our subs just slotted in seamlessly which helped the ball transitions down the court. Stella's brilliant intercept seemed to inspire the girls, and they really pushed hard in the last quarter. The highlight of the match was how hard everyone worked to get to contest and keep competing and running hard despite the very warm conditions.
Awards to Maddy and India.
Maddy was also awarded the Best On Court Player for the game.
