Witnesses called after stolen vehicle found alight in Dumbulk

Police are investigating after a stolen car fled from officers and crashed into another vehicle in Yarram on Tuesday, 22 September. 

It is understood a white Toyota coupe was stolen from an aquatic centre in Traralgon about 9.30am. 

The vehicle was observed by police travelling on Hyland Highway in Carrajung Lower, before it attended a service station on Commercial Road in Yarram a short time later.  

The Toyota took off at speed. 

Police were told the vehicle then returned to the service station about 10.40am. 

The driver took off again, colliding with a vehicle as it fled the scene. 

There were no injuries. 

The Toyota was located alight in Dumbalk about 11.30am. 

No arrests have been made at this stage, and the investigation is ongoing.
