On court honours for Woodside
Wildcats secure four wins over Rosedale
on court action from the A grade game
Woodside enjoyed a strong day on the netball courts, recording four victories from six matches against Rosedale, including a convincing A Grade triumph.
The Wildcats’ A Grade side produced an impressive performance to defeat Rosedale 46–28. Kim Wright led the attack with 41 goals, while Paige Biddle added five. Jordy Rogers scored 23 goals and Tess Maxfield five for Rosedale, with Holly Kilgower receiving Woodside’s award.
Rosedale claimed the B Grade contest 45–37 despite a strong 30-goal performance from award winner Lisa Booth. Laura Telling contributed six goals and Leah Stoffels added one for the Wildcats.
Woodside returned to the winners’ list in C Grade, defeating Rosedale 43–34. Brydie Hurrell was outstanding around the post with 36 goals, while award winner Billie Kee scored seven.
The D Grade Wildcats held off a determined Rosedale side to record a 44–39 victory. Rikki-Lee Bonnici earned the award after scoring 28 goals, with Erin Henderson adding 13 and Sydney Kee three.
One of the closest contests came in the 17-and-under match, where Woodside edged out Rosedale 34–32. Zoe Hustwayte led the scoring with 27 goals, Charlotte Dillow contributed six and another player added one. Lilly Ireland received the award for her performance.
Rosedale finished the day strongly in the 15-and-under match, defeating Woodside 51–15. Stella Kerr and Macey Kee led Woodside’s scoring, while Sophie Norman received the team award.
