Two from Three for Determined Junior Wildcats

Junior Wildcats enjoy strong day despite Under 15 setback
Woodside's junior footballers enjoyed another productive round, recording impressive wins in the Under 11 and Under 13 grades before Sale City proved too strong in the Under 15 clash.
The Under 11 Wildcats were in outstanding form, producing a dominant 10.7 (67) to 1.1 (7) victory. Woodside controlled the contest from start to finish with Cooper Bowden, Kaemon Green, Aidan Barclay, Logan Lovassy, Xavier Bowden and Ollie Dessent leading the way.
Aidan Barclay was the chief goal kicker with three majors, while Kaemon Green and Blake Pearson each booted two. Ollie Dessent, Oliver Bolch and Henry McIntyre also found the goals in the convincing win.
The Under 13s continued the winning theme, overcoming Sale City 9.11 (65) to 7.5 (47) in an entertaining contest.
Ted Elliott, Jarrod Kyle Wigg, Leeroy Griffin, Tex Thyssen, Lachlan Kidd and Clancy Anderson were among Woodside's best players. Tex Thyssen led the scoring with three goals, while Lachlan Kidd and Leeroy Griffin each kicked two. Ted Elliott and Noah O'Sullivan added one goal apiece.
The Under 15s battled hard but were unable to hold off a determined Sale City outfit, going down 9.9 (63) to 6.8 (44).
Woodside made a bright start to lead 19-15 at quarter time before the visitors edged ahead by three points at the main break. Sale City gained the ascendancy in the third term and finished strongly to secure the 19-point victory.
Samuel Freeman, Charlie Anderson, Jaden Olarenshaw, Matthew Selzer and Hudson Roberts were among the Wildcats' best performers. Alessandro Giliberto finished with three goals, while Charlie Anderson, Seth Wigg and Hudson Roberts each added a major.
