The girls are looking like a completely different team to a few months ago.
Today they really played as a team and everyone played their part beautifully.
Defensively charlotte, Sammi and Shayla worked tirelessly against some very accurate shooters getting some brilliant rebounds.
Through the mid court, Scarlet, Lucy, Kittie and Ella kept the energy and flow down the court and fed our goalers well.
Once again Navy and Chloe worked the goal circle really well together creating space for each other and shooting well in windy conditions.
Stand outs for this week were Sammi, Kittie and Scarlett.

This game started strongly, with the girls showing some excellent and cohesive passages of place. As the game progressed, our intensity dropped slightly, allowing Rosedale to take control and momentum. Despite this, the girls continued to produce some impressive passages of play, with intercepts all over the court. Lyla had an outstanding game, stepping into unfamiliar positions and adapting seamlessly. She showed textbook corridors and spatial awareness throughout the court. Addy showed her versatility, transitioning effortlessly from shooting to defence. She was able to disrupt Rosedale’s attack, and got great hands on the ball. We look forward to the upcoming bye, and will come back stronger to play Churchill!
Awards- Lyla Banfield and Adeline Matthews

The game against Rosedale was a very physically challenging game for everyone. We had Bec join us for her first game in quite a few years. She went out and surprised everyone with how quick she picked up the play! Everyone played a very good game and gave the physicality right back to them.
Awards - Charli Philips and Bec Nancarrow.

It was a bit of a shaky start with few key mid courters missing this week. Rosedale was able to exploit our attack end missing the speed and depth that it usually has. In defence Alix, Grace and Alira worked tirelessly as a defensive unit disrupting plenty of Rosedale ball. Evie had a big task running out c all game and was still smiling at the end. Big thanks to Bec and Nat for filling in this week, hopefully we’ll get them back on court again in the future.
Awards went to Alix who had some fantastic intercepts and rebounds and Alira, for her defensive pressure in WD.

The team gave their all in this game. It was not the score line we would have liked but everyone fought hard to make good position, improve the passes and be stronger in the context. There are always things to improve on in your game, but today your resilience and will to compete for every ball should be commended.
Awards - India Charles for her goaling, hard running and ability to absorb the pressure applied to her. Rachel for her leadership and constant encouragement to her team. Keep up the hard work at training girls!
